Hours worked beyond normal working hours are paid at 125% of the hourly rate.

Overtime between 9pm and 4am is paid at 150% of the hourly rate.

Work on rest days or public holidays is paid at 150% of the hourly rate.

Overtime on holidays during night hours is paid at 175% of the hourly rate.

Formula

Hourly Rate = Basic Salary ÷ (Working Days × Daily Working Hours)

For 6-day work week: Hourly Rate = Basic Salary ÷ (26 days × 8 hours) = Basic Salary ÷ 208

For 5-day work week: Hourly Rate = Basic Salary ÷ (22 days × 8 hours) = Basic Salary ÷ 176

Maximum overtime allowed: 2 hours per day
Overtime calculations are based on basic salary only (excluding allowances)
Friday is the normal rest day in UAE (unless contract states otherwise)
Employees entitled to a substitute rest day or additional pay for working on rest day
During Ramadan, working hours are reduced by 2 hours daily
